Mary MIMMS m. Samuel Hunt Allen 1 Dec. 1775 in Buckingham Co.VA. her father is supposed to be Drury MIMMS according to "Some Marriages of Burned Record Counties of Virginia" VA. Gen. Society. VA. 1806 Sally A. Wright and (2) Martha A.Cabaniss 1818 Madison Co. AL. 6- Martha A., m. Richard Cottrell prob. in Buckingham Co. VA. 7- Samuel A., m. Nancy? 8- Sally H., m. Henry Graves in Davidson Co. TN. 1809 9- Sutton Farrar., m. Elizabeth Sims Allen 1817 Madison Co. AL. 10- Elizabeth Ann W., m. Thomas Slaughter 1818 Madison Co. AL. 11- John A., m. Caroline Clay Cabaniss 1819 Madison Co. AL. (please note: the # l & 2 daughters may be one and the same, being married twice ? ) This information comes from the book " The Allen Family" by Richard Wicker. Other family names are. Lane, Allen, McRee, and Graves and they all followed together from VA, to AL. MS. NC. TN. (don't know in what order yet) and finally to Arkansas Co. AR. My fathers mother Emma A. McRee is decended from Mary MIMMS and her husband Samuel Hunt Allen and several of the McRee's and Allen's have Mims for middle names. My grandmother McRee married my grandfather Ernest Mims Lane so i have the Mims middle name in the Lane family and in the McRee and Allen families also. My fathers name was Arnett Mims Lane and he said it came from a Dr. MIMS ? I do not know if he was a relative or just the doctor who delivered him. He and his father Ernest both were born in Arkansas Co. AR. Does anyone know anything about this line. Thanks Merrill Lane
