Gateway) Mary Mimms dau. of Drury Mimms(Some Marriages of Burned Record Counties of Virginia, Va.Gen.Soc.) married Samuel Allen son of Samuel and Martha (Archer)Allen, they married Dec. 1, 1775 Buckingham Co. Va. Children by this marriage: Dau.? m. Mr. Penick Wm.M., m. Lucy Graves Nancy, m. Wm.Ballard Allen Drury M., m.Sally A.Wright & Martha W. Cabaniss Martha A., m. Richard Cottrell Samuel A.,m. Nancy Sally H., m. Henry Graves Sutton Farrar, m. Elizabeth Sims Allen Elizabeth Ann W., m. Thomas Slaughter John A., m. Caroline Clay Cabaniss .......Note: Samuel and Mary(Mimms)Allen moved to Madison Co. AL. but do not know exactly whate date. ....******** I am trying to find out which DRURY MIMMS was Mary Mimms father and who was her mother. She is my 4x greatgrand mother. There are so many Drury Mims(Mimms)no one seems to be able to tell me exactly. Most say Mary Mimms was married to a Woodson and she died without children, that apparently is another Mary Mims, there is little doubt that a Mary Mimms did marry Samuel Allen in 1775, so which Drury is her father and who is her mother????
