Military records place them here as early as 1831. One book of appraisals/sales show that they were all 3 dead before 1850. Following are children of John H. Eubanks Zimmerman 1831 Richard E. 1833 John 1838 James E. 1840 ELIZABETH J. 1841 (m) Charles Peavy Mary A.J. 1843 William C. 1845 Orman 1848 *John H Eubanks was dead by abt 1847 and his wife must have died at abt the time last child born. *Elizabeth M. married Charles Peavy,son of Littleton Peavy and grandson of Williamson Momms (sic) who left will in Houston Co,Ga. CEMETERIES AND OBITUARIES OF HOUSTON CO. GA. JOHN MIMS of Houston Co.,Ga died Mar 17,1885 in Hawkinsbille,Ga. He was on his way home,when he was crushed to death by falling under the wheels of his wagon. the accident happened abt 3 miles from his home. he was under influence of whiskey. We had such a wonderful time and hated to leave. They have the most beautiful and comfortable home in Fountain Inn,SC. We came back to California with abt 5 lbs of John's pecans..YumYum.
