The 3rd child of Mary and the 2nd of David Mims. Duncans mother Mary, was married to John Watkins and they had a dtr Nancy who later married John McEachen of Telfair Co. Flora born July 31,1827 never married i. Mary "Polly" born July 4,1831 never married Duncans father,David died abt 1833. Court records show that Duncan was admistrator of estate and disposed of Davids land and belongings in Telfair Co. Duncan was the beginning of the "[Mims Family" in Telfair Co,Ga. Duncan married harriett Ray (born June 18,1828) NC, the dtr of Allen and Peggy (McDonald) Ray on April 9,1846 in Telfair Co. She was 1 of 15 children.
