Harriett Ray (married to Duncan Mims) was dtr of Allen Ray,Sr who was born in Martin Co,NC in 1790. He was married twice. He died in 1864. Tempy died in 1842. First, to Temperance "Tempy" Brewer in abt 1813. she was born in NC dtr of Arthur Brewer who also came from NC to Telfair Co,Ga in early 1800's. Emily Ola Mims born Nov 26,1901 in Telfair Co,Ga. 7th child of 11 children born to Duncan Cornelius and Emily Lorena (Grace) Mims. Frank met her at Philadelphia Methodist Church. They "courted" many years before marrying. They married apr 29 1937 in Methodist Parsonage at Helena in Telfair Co. He was farmer,also good carpenter. Ola continued her education and got degree of Ga Southern College at Statesboro,Ga.,taught elementary school. Children: George Donald born July 17,1938 (d) Sept 18,1983 of massive heart attack just 2 months after marrying Carolyn Swirls (2nd wife) 1st wife was Pamela Delaine Latham. Two children with Pamela. Diane Michelle born 1966 Shane Austin born 1969 Before Frank died his step mother and sister Elmira Joyce lived with them. Also Ola's brother George Mims lived with her a short time before he died in April,1984. Ola died Nov 16 1984. Frank,Ola,Donald are buried in Riverside Cem,Lumber City,Ga. MARY THELMA (MIMS) MATHEW BY BEATRICE MATHEW, PG 403 Mary Thelma born Dec 29,1`908 in Telfair Co., 10th child of Duncan Cornelius and Emily Lorena Grace. She married Enmon Cecil Mathew, born Jan 3,1904 Toccoa,Stephens co,Ga. 4th child of 9 to Warren Newton Mathew and Frances Lenora Cromer. Enmon was known as E.C. and was teacher...in Jeff Davis Co..where he was Supt of Schools. They celebrated 50th anniversary Feb 27,1977. They had 3 children: a. Evelyn Jeanette (m) Wendell Maurice of Hazelburst b. Ralph Eugene (m) Melba Beatrice Ingld of Ft Smith, arkansas c. Mary Blanche (m) Douglas Jeffery McNeal of Hazelhurst. E.C. and Thelma members of Fishing Creek Baptist Church. She died Sept 16 1980 and E.C. died april 13,1982. Both buried Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae.
