I found a William Mims listed on page 151 in the 1850 census in Sumter County, GA. He is a 34 year old white male. His wife, Catherine, is 22. There are two children ... Elizabeth, 2 years old and William who's age is listed as 1/2. They are living in the 27th District. Does anyone have any information on this family? I'm chasing a lead ... the child is born in the right year to be my William who eventually married Lucinda Roberts. I do not have access to Sumter County records ... therefore I don't know anything further about this line. I would love to find out what happened to them. Any ideas? Joey Mimbs
