I am lurking and reading every post in hopes I can find a connection since I know so little about this family. My daughters g-g-grandmother was Adaline Mims who married Ezekiel Cooper I think in Alabama. He fought in the Civil War there before he came to Arkansas. Adaline's mother was Lucinda Mims and think she must have been a Drew before she married John Mims in Sumner Co., Ala on Jan. 14,1839 because she was living with "Drews" on these census. Did her husband die or what happened to him? Adaline died before 1880 and I know of one son John A. Cooper b. 1875. Ezekiel remarried in 1881. Lucinda and Adaline are both buried in Independence Cemetery in Miller Co. Ark. would appreciate any help on this family. 1850 Choctaw Co. Alabama Census James C.
