    3. There were 2 Williamson Mims, and haven't found the relationship to one another. The eldest was from Appling County originally and moved to Bibbs, Houston and Dooly counties. The younger married in Thomas County 11 May 1851 and he did live in Monroe County. 2. Steve Mims
    3. Hello Mims Gang: Don't let John Mimms fool you because I know for a fact that he is a fine golfer and an even better BBQ and hushpuppy eater! I'm Stephen (Steve) S. Mims of Moscow, Idaho and I've been on this list for a while and have enjoyed corresponding with all of our fine Mims-related cousins. I am a North Carolina native, having moved to Idaho about 17 years ago. Seven generations of my Mims line lived in Chatham/Wake Counties N.C. so that is the "clan" of Mimses that I am particularly interested in. Recent work demands have kept me from doing much more than keeping an eye on this list and checking a few records here and there. Hopefully things will slow down some... My line: Thomas Mims from England and Anne - Virginia Linah or Lionel Mims and Mary Ann Martin - Virginia Joseph Mims and Susannah (last name unknown) - N. C. and eventually Chatham Co. (I should say that there is no concrete paper trail between Joseph and Linah or Lionel - just an educated guess that most agree with) David Mims and Elizabeth Cullen - Chatham Co. Young Mims and Mary "Polly" Boothe - Chatham Co. Walter Henry Mims and Martha Ellen Rollins - Chatham Co. Thomas Early Mims and Blanche Nash - Chatham Co. Spencer Rollins Mims Sr. and Madlyn Poole - Chatham Co. Spencer Rollins Mims Jr. and Mattie Brown Stancill (my parents) Good luck to all of you folks with your research and if I can help anyone with anything regarding the Chatham/Wake Mims let me know. -Steve
