Hi All, I just joined this list and wondering if anyone could help. I have a lot of interest in the early French of Monroe county(ROBERT(S), LACROIX, BOURDEAU, etc...). I do have a handle on that part of my line pretty much but always welcome connecting with anyone with those names. My interest at the moment is to see if anyone else has any SMITH or NARY relations in Monroe county who were of Irish descent and came to Monroe in the 1830s or 1840s? I have a Matthew SMITH(1820-1853) son of Jacob(or James) SMITH and Mary NUELLE(or similar spelling). He married Bridget NARY(1823-1909) daughter of James NARY and Helen COHN in 1846 at St Mary's in Monroe. Bridget married Gabriel BISSONETTE in 1854. Any connections??
