I have not found any evidence to support Native American ties. I do know that my grandfather, who was married to Bridget's grandaughter thought her appearence made her look Native American. She wore " her hair in braids with a bandana tied around her head, and smoked a tobacco called "Old Growler"in a pipe". A far cry from his German roots. It sounds like the "Indian attitude" line may have been a slur. I have alot on the Sanscrainte, if anybody needs help.
