    1. [MIMONROE] A MONROE COUNTY CHURCH IN THE 1870s
    2. Does anyone have any information about what was called the "White Church" where my GGGma's funeral was held in 1878? It was probably located in the Erie, Bedford or LaSalle Township area. Where was it located? What denomination was it? Is there a church at the same location now? If so, what is the current name of the church? Thank you. Mary Petty Brasfield

    1. [MIMONROE] The GenExchange & Surname Registry needs a coordinator for Monroe Co.
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UGB.2ACI/1752 Message Board Post: This is NOT for the GenWeb. Their counties are fully supported by coordinators whom are doing a great job. I have just taken over the position of State Coordinator for Michigan at www.genexchange.org. During the last year genexchange was off line, while off line many of the coordinators became involved in other projects and did not return once the web site was up and running again. So now as coordinator I am in need of someone to head up the Monroe site. You do not need to live in the county, but it helps in acquiring documents from the library and elsewhere. If you love doing genealogy, gathering information and making it available to others on the internet, then you might be the right person for this position. Visit the site above, and go to Michigan then counties, select Monroe and click on "adopt me." There are other counties available as well. You can go directly to the MI website by entering this URL - http://www.genexchange.org/state.cfm?state=mi
