Still trying to determine why Abigail Maybee's father--William Easlick--was buried (d. 9 Jul 1839) in Kinsman Cemetery rather in the State Line Cemetery (near Jamestown, PA) and where his wife Phebe is buried (d. 7 Jan 1856). Cornelius and Abigail in Kinsman, Trumbull Co., OH, for the 1830 Census; Cornelius, sans Abigail, in the 1840 Census for South Shenango Twp, Crawford Co., PA. Possible that William died while visiting, and with, daughter Abigail in Kinsman? No record found for her death other than period defined between Census dating. Thanks for remembering me over the years. Ed

I have Tom's dad as George Thomas Peters and wife, Minnie (House). We have been collecting gravestone pics and stopping in Humboldt, I ran across Henry C. Peters and Maude C. b. 1893 for both of them. Henry died in 1982 and Maude died 1966. They were married June 24, 1913. I am sure this is your Henry C. Peters and wife. What I would like to know is if Henry C. Peters and George Tomas Peters were brothers (or of what relation)? I can send you a picture of Henry's gravestone or maybe you already have one. We are cousins to the Kimball's. Regards, Joan and Duane Bessette

Surnames: Easlick, Hitchcock, Maybee, Priest, Gravatt Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UGB.2ACI/1750.1 Message Board Post: Hello Pat: Can't help with the Monroe County Maybees, but do have file on Cornelius and Abigail (Eastlick) Maybee and their children to include Cornelius, Jr. Cornelius, Sr, remarried fairly soon after Abigail's death in Kinsman Twp, Trumbull Co., OH, about 1840. He had at least five children in OH/IN with his 2nd wife , Byancy(?). Abigail was my GG Aunt out of parents William and Phebe. William was buried in Kinsman having died on 9 Jul 1839--about the time of Abigail's demise. Her father, William Eastlick, was living in South Shenango Twp, Crawford Co., PA--about 10 miles distant from Kinsman--at the time of his death in Ohio in 1839. His wife Phebe, is buried in the State Line Cemetery, just NW of Jamestown. She died in on 7 Jan 1856. Really wonder why William was buried 10 miles or so distant from his home?
