Would like to exchange information on these folks. I have quite a bit on the EARLY generations of the Graessles- back to Germany several generations. Now I am trying to figure out how all the Graessles in Monroe are related. There were 2 brothers and a cousin that came over.... do you know Lorenz' father's name? Loretta

The name is spelled as we spell it that is why I am questioning and wondering if yet there were older children and grandma never spoke of them. I have a Picture of her if you would like to see it and see if she resembles anyone you might have ,let me know cause this sounds close. and they used to name children after someone. maybe your luranc was a aunt to my grandmother? patty:)

    1. [MIMONROE] St. Mary's
    2. It is true that St. Mary's is no longer in operation. My class was actually the last graduating class from that school. However.... The boys school and the girls school combined to form, St Mary Catholic Central. All records should be able to be reached thru them. I still get alumni news from them and of course fund raiser info. I am sure if someone called the new school, they could find out what they needed to know.

    3. RE: LEONARD and DROUILLARD surnames Does anyone have these names in their lists? ZOE DROUILLARD, age 16, living with Nelson DROUILLARD, age 29 (Head of Household) and Eliza (Chauvin) Drouillard, age 24 (wife) in the 1850 Census, LaSalle, Monroe Co MI. In Denissen's, p.373, ZOE DROUILLARD, b. 23 Feb 1833 dau of Louis Drouillard and 2d wife Angelica Bigras Dit Fauvel --Zoe is Louis' 19th child She's also listed in St. Clair DROUILLARD genealogy, p. 41, "married MAGLOIRE LEONARD, 12 APRIL 1858 in Sandwich." I have a note that MAGLOIRE and ZOE (Drouillard) LEONARD are buried in Monroe County. Can't find the cemetery name in my notes, but it could be St. Joseph's of Erie or Monroe City. Donna Walt has some similar LEONARD names in her DROUILLARD list-- For example: " Edmund Bomya, B: November 10, 1872, Monroe, M: 1898 + Mary Leonard" .....and "2nd spouse of Archange Bousom: + Louis Leonard, B: Jun 1791, St. Antoine River Raisin, M: Jan 10 1814 Mary Leonard, B: March 15, 1815, Sandusky Julia Leonard, B: April 27, 1817, St. Antoine Isabella Leonard, B: May 14, 1819, St. Antoine, River Raisin, M: November 16,1841, D: November 17, 1898 + Augustin Jovitus Antaya, B: February 15, 1819, Assumption Sandwich, D: April 28, 1905" I'm still trying to find the parents of Nelson DROUILLARD in Monroe Co, hoping that ZOE could be a clue.
