I had no luck finding them in 1860 census. If you are up for a gamble, check out the church records for Hohenwettersbach (part of Karlsruhe now) to see if you can find Christian's baptism. That is where the other Graessles in Monroe were from. For some reason I did not write down all the siblings of Andreas Anton when I had the film from the LDS many, many years ago. I'll keep my eye out for Christian and family in my searches.

Surnames: Graessle Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UGB.2ACI/1403.2.1 Message Board Post: Bette, I found Christian and family in the 1850 census for Monroe, but can't find them after that. Did they leave the county? I found the birth entries for the 4 children in the Trinity records, but not much else (including no marriage record in the county or Trinity Lutheran Church records). Where did you find their marriage date? I THINK that Christian may be the brother of Andreas Anton Graessle (Andreas was a sponsor for one of Christian's children), but don't have a complete list of Andreas' siblings to prove that. Just a hunch based on names and other connections with the family. If you know where they were in 1860- and after perhaps that would help. I didn't find much else on this family in the Trinity records. I did find a Maria Rode Graessle that died in 1885, but her marriage was listed as 1843- so I am not sure if she is the same lady or not. Loretta
am looking for the whereabouts of a James KelleyKelly born 1773 Vermont who came to southern Michigan circa 1832/1836 from New York state.. He was said to come with a son (name unknown) There are several James Kelleys who bought land in Lenawee, Washtenaw, Branch and other southern counties early on, but I cannot find which one is the correct one. I cannot find him in the 1840 and 1850 Census. He shoud be easy to find as he was quite elderly at the time, and most early settlers were young. Thanks, Frances Porter-- FPorter271@aol.com.
