The info I have is that it is the original name for what is now "Whitens" and the family came from the town Ordegana in Belgium. My Grandfather was George Whitens, married to Flora Savord. My Grandfather died in 1952 in Hermansville. My Great-grandfather was August Whitens; perhaps he came to United States as a child? Thank you in advance!
