My grandfather Imre Batari or James Batary was living with his sister's family, the Stephen Kiszely, in Mellen township, Menominee County, during the 1930 census. The Kiszelys are buried in Stephenson Cemetery. It is my understanding that Imre is also buried there, but without a headstone. The Cemetery custodian said that the records are sketchy and he has not been able to find any record of the grave. I contacted the Menominee County Clerks office and was told that they have not record of his death in the 1930's, or 1940s, which is when I believe he died. Does anyone have information about him?
