Somerville Ave is the present day 12th Avenue

Wow! Thanks for the quick response. Do you live in Menominee or are you familiar with that part of the city? If not, you can disregard the following two paragraphs .... At some time I would like to drive up to Menominee from Madison WI to do research and take a look at the location where 305 Somerville Ave once existed. "Microsoft Streets and Trips" software shows that going east towards the lake, 12th Ave ends at 6th Street. I'm wondering what now exists in that area that used to include the 3rd block of Somerville? Maybe the blocks were numbered differently back then, but according to today's mapping of streets, the 300 block would extend between 3rd & 4th Street. The 1897 Menominee City Directory indicated that Somerville Ave extended from the 300 block to the 1500 block.
