My Grandparents; Jens (James) Johannesen and Amalie Paulsen immigrated to Menominee County in 1892. They lived on a farm by Ingalls until my grandmother died in 1915. Sometime after that Jens moved to the town of Menominee and lived in a house owned by Sorensen family, (perhaps a boarding house) on what was then 4th street. Jens, Amalie and three of their sons are buried in the Danish Lutheran Cemetery at the edge of the town of Stephenson. I have located the grandchildren of my father's sister, Anne Margrethe and her husband Crist Berg. Another of my father's sisters, Mettie Katrine Elisabeth, I found married to a Christ Christiansen and they lived in the Menominee area. According to the census they had a son named Arthur. I have not been able to find him. One of my father's brothers, Tony Johnson, died in Wyoming in the 1870s. He never married. I just found his obituary and grave two years ago. His obituary stated he had a cousin in Wheatland (1973) and one in Oregon. No names were given. I also located a picture of him that had wrote on the back, Tony and two cousins. So I know there is more family somewhere out there. Another of father's brothers, John Johnson died in Escanuba in the 1950s. He also never married according to his obituary. I have not found Paul b. 1881, or Viggo born in 1900. I have found no records of either of these boys. My father died when I was 10 and in the bible my mother wrote only the names of Anne, John and Tony so I must assume the other boys died before 1941. All of the below were born in Brejning parish, Ringkøbing County, Denmark, immigrated in 1890 and 1892 to Menominee County Three of my grandmother's brothers and two sisters immigrated to Menominee County. I have not found any of their descendants. My great aunt Marianne Andrea Paulsen, born 1868, in Brejning, Great Aunt Jensine Paulsen, b 1862, married to Peder Christian Poulsen. A friend in Green Bay found a picture of one of Jensine's daughters in a church picture, I think from around 1910. Gr-uncle Jens Boel Paulsen b 1866 married to Uskyld Marie Katrine Nielsen (used name Catherine in 1910 census). Gr-uncle Hans Mathias Rojkum Paulsen b 1874 immigrated using the name Hans Tudskjaer.
