They purchased it from Otto Carlson when Otto and his family moved to Washington State. My grandfather, Carl Gustav Peterson Carlson, was Louis Peterson's son. Louis was Bengt's brother and was killed in a mining accident in 1882 or 83. Carl (actually called Gust) was adopted by Otto after Otto married Louis's widow, Mathilda Anderson.
