I have tried your data base several times but my family never comes up. Because of the spelling there are about ten variations. The name is Desotell, Desautels, disotell and so on. In 1883 Tow brothers named Francois desautels and Jean Baptist along with there family, some married and some not, left Bay settlement Wisconsin and landed in Stephenson Michigan. Since 1883 the Desautels, Desotell name spread out from Gladstone, Menominee, Marinette, Marquette. Usually in a 75 mile area of Stephenson. The two original settlers, (brothers) died in Stephenson. I have a josephine Poirier who married a gr gr uncle of mine named August Desotell Jr. A lois B. Brown of 12274 Green Medow Dr apt E Columbia MD 21044 has done the entire Poirier line from the Menominee area. I have mine posted on ancestry.com under the name spelling desautels. At ancestrey you can find August desautels married Josephine Poirer under my data base. The josephine I have born 1880 died 1970. I have the burial permit for josephine and August jr. I have Henry Poirier who married Emily Desotell and later married Emily's cousin Margaret Desotell. Henry Desotell and Emily had a son Francis J.M. Poirier b. 1875. The Poirier name later became known as Perry so you have to be careful. I have them in my genealogy with some under Perry and others under Poirier. He is listed as a survivor in his sister Clemence ( POIRIER ) Terrien's obituary. Clemence was born on 10 AUG 1861. Their parents would be J.B. POIRIER and Catherine ( AVON ) POIRIER. Also listed in the obituary is a sister, Mrs. Mary DeVoe of Menominee, Mich. I am looking for any information on this branch of the POIRIER family. Thanks, Susan

Her parents were Fred (Friedrich ?) Maass and Augusta (nee Rabenhorst). Amanda's siblings were Carl (Charlie), Rose, Anna, Klara, Augusta, Edward, Friedrich, Wilhelm (Billy), Luise, Lilli, Tillie and George. Their birth years ranged from 1871 to 1889. Anyone else working on this line of Maass (or Maas)?

According to Menominee, MI census records for 1910 and 1920, he was born in Germany in 1854, immigrated to the US in 1881, remarried Augusta around 1893 or 94. Not sure when he or Augusta died.

My ggrandmother was Lena BEYER a daughter of Ernest BEYER.. My grandmother was 12 years old when her mother, Lena, died and not much is known about this side of the family. >From what I have been told, Ernest came from Germany in the late 1800's with his 1st wife, who died when Lena was a child. Lena's aunt, Augusta (her mother's sister), came over from Germany to help raise Lena and married Ernest. I believe Ernest and Augusta had the following children: Ernest, Otto, Henry (Edward H), Anna H, Emma (Mary E.), and Rose BEYER If anyone has any information on this family, I would happy to hear from you.
