They share a pastor and administrative responsibilities with Precious Blood Catholic Church in Stephenson, MI So you can receive parish info, records, historical info, etc... by contacting Precious Blood in Stephenson. I know that they have records from the late 1800's for Precious Blood - so depending on when St. Bruno's opened they may have attended Precious Blood before that date. BTW, there is (Agnes?) Gunville buried in the Stephenson Cemetary. She married a Beaudoin. Good luck! Christine McNish Beaudoin

But I presently don't know much about the DEPOTIE line. I do know that in the 1930 census they are listed as all living next door to one another, Lena and Joseph, Edna and Roy, and August and Mary, as well as other close family members. The place in Perronville township where they lived is presently known as "Helps", on the 569 right before the county line road, not much left though, but Lenas childhood cabin is still there. It's the large(only!) building on the right. I had heard that Helps was once a small gathering of buildings surrounding a pump and a railroad turnaround, there was(still is) also a sawmill on the north side of the highway. Loggers from the area used to haul their loads to the railroads for shipment. My mothers best friend in childhood was Josephs daughter who died as a child from pnuemonia, she is buried in the Foster City Cemetary, northwest of there, along with many other of our family members. My mother still talks about her. Hi all, Quiet... yep, that's what I've been the past month. I'm afraid it will all probably continue too, until after May. I'm so busy and socked up that I barely have any computer time right now. HOWEVER, we MUST your month unfulfilled with a genealogical challenge! :) Let's see, it's February, the month of love, so I offer you the following challenge... Tell us about a county couple whose marriage lasted 50 years or more ~ a biography on their lives. Be as informative as you're able (parents, places of birth, death, & marriage; their children, etc), however, please do NOT tell us about anyone living ~ only those who have passed on, please. I'll now retreat to my quiet corner and once again become a ghost in the shadows. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! :) Colleen

You can probably find out from the TV station there now, though. But as I was reading through the message boards, I happened to notice that Nancy's middle name was Ida. My grandfather's (George W. Sampson) first wife was named Ida A. Post. Is she by any chance a relative of hers? Norma (Sampson) Hammond I am a daughter of Etrel W. Sampson, son of George W. Sampson, son of Abraham (Abrom/Abram)Sampson, son of Ephriam Sampson, son of Jonathon Sampson (b. 1733), Them is where my family tree separates from all others because it say that Jonathon's father is Solomon and his father is Loyal. I believe that Abraham Loyal Sampson came to America using Abraham Samson. Then when he dissapeared from the records, he started using his first middle name, as a lot of the Sampson's are known to to to this day.

My great grandmother married a man named Dan Murphy in 1913 in South Dakota. However, when they retired to a Veteran's Home in the 1930's he suddenly took the name Sherwood Stephenson born in 1871 in Michigan to Matthew and Anna Stephenson! All the records list him as Sherwood after that, even his death certificate so I believe that is who he really was. If anyone has connections to the Stephenson family mentioned, I would love to hear about this family and maybe solve the mystery. Matthew Stephenson was born in Maine and his wife in New York. Hope to hear from someone, Jonee
