    3. I found my grt grt grt grandfather, Harvey HOYT, and his family living in Spaulding twp. Menominee co. on the 1880 census. He re-married in 1881 in the same place, but have lost track of him after that. I checked the death indexes on the MI genweb site, and he's not listed. I'm wondering if anyone out there might have access to the 1885 Michigan State Census and could check to see if he's still living in Spaulding, or another county? Harvey HOYT was born ab. 1812 in NY. In 1885 he would have been married to Catharin (Hill). He had a daughter, Theresa, from his 2nd marriage. His son, Frank HOYT and wife Hannah and family may be be living close by. I have been searching for years to find when and where Harvey Hoyt died. I get one new lead and then hit another dead end. Would really appreciate any help, Thank you!! Claudia Schuman

    3. Nancy, I obtained a marriage license from them about 4 years ago. I called them to find out what I had to do, and the lady checked the date for me while I was waiting. Then, she had me send a letter with a check; I received the license in less than 2 weeks. They were extremely helpful, as far as I am concerned. 3. The people in the County Clerks office in the Courthouse are very friendly and helpful. Just have all the information you know, brides name,, grooms name and approximate year and date. They will mail you a certified copy and/or you can visit the courthouse and look it up yourself. Happy hunting, Marie

    1. BOLIN Family Heirloom
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old baptism booklet which celebrates the baptism of Linnea Kristina Johanna BOLIN b. 7 May 1914 at Menominee, Michigan, and baptized 13 July 1914. Linnea is the daughter of Simon BOLIN and Elna or Elva BOLIN. The witnesses were Eugenia BJORKLUND and Oscar DAHLBERG. The Pastor was F. O. LINDER. This is a lovely six page booklet, all in Swedish I believe with some very beautiful illustrations. I believe Linnea's father may be Simon BOLIN b. 5 January 1884 and died May 1963 in Michigan. I'm hoping that someone can identify the family so that the booklet can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    2. Mr. Tribbey, Thank you so much for your reply. I think I have most of the names of Pichettes buried in Riverside. I do have some of the Poquette's. No Belongia's. I may be e-mailed directly at jaga @core.com. I am embarassed to say I do live in Marinette County, but work during the day, and unable to do a lot of foot work or courthouse research during the week. I appreciate any info you could share with me. Please let me know if there is a charge. Thanks again Valarie

Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mi/Menominee/10313 Surname: FARR, GRAY, HARDWICK, MACFARLANE, DISJARDIN, SUTHERLAND ------------------------- It depends on what year you are looking for. Births did occur at both St. Joseph Hospital in Menominee, MI and Marinette General Hospital in Marinette, WI. However, births ceased at the Menominee Hospital in the late 70's early 80's. The hospitals merged and hospital records are maintained with Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette. Your best bet is to try the Menominee courthouse for vital records.
