I would invite my ancestors who lived in Salem during the trials - ask them why they did what they did. I'd invite my ancestor from Dutch Colony New York - ask them what it was like to come to this land and settle the Haarlem. I'd invite my Ancestors who fought in the Revolution - sit and discuss war stories. And I'd invite those who fled this land for Canada instead of Fighting - I'd like to know why they fled. -----Original Message----- From: Jan Cortez [mailto:janacortez@charter.net] Sent: Saturday, October 25, 2008 1:31 PM To: mimecost@rootsweb.com Subject: [MIMECOST] Roll Call Roll Call time - we are just being to quiet and since there are 89 of us here........... well..........let's do it. When just listing a surname, it doesn't tell us what specific information that you are looking for. Most of us have a lot of surnames that we have information on, but numerous ones have something specific that is causing the brick wall that we all run into. I know that it is a little early to be thinking of the holidays <smiles>, at least for me - but....... I would like each one of you to write in and let us know about one or a half dozen or so ancestors that you would invite for Thanksgiving and/or Holiday dinner and the questions that you would ask them to help shed some light on your genealogy.
