Jody So, when and where did Thomas live? forgive my oversight: Thomas Glossender/Glossenger b. 8 Feb 1835 CT - by 1855 is in Wayne Co. NY - marries Emeline Shurtliff 9 Sept 1855 in Canadiagua, Ontario Co., NY children: Mary b. 15 Sept 1857 NY Charles b. 6 July 1860 NY Frances b. 6 Apr 1865 b. NY (direct line) Daisy b. 29 Aug 1873 NY - Daisy married James C. CRIPPEN - in the 1900 census Daisy & James are living with Thomas & Emeline. by 25 Jan 1888 Thomas shows up in Reed City, Osceola County, MI In the 1890 census Thomas is now in Big Rapids Thomas died 8 Sept 1818 & is buried in Maple hill Cemetery Big Rapids. Emeline is also buried there . She died 4 Dec 1917 Frances (Frank) is also buried there - he died 27 Feb 1912. At least some of these graves are unmarked according to cemetery records. Thomas served in the Civil War with 2 different units - first with the 33rd NY = he was then transferred to the 49th NY Infantry.
