I'd love to find out my great-grandmother's story. The information that I have is that she was born in Ontario, Canada on 26 April 1958 as Margaret BEAMER. She was later adopted by James and Barbara MILLER of Mecosta County. She married Lewis ANNIS on 4 July 1874 (ceremony performed by John SNOW (?), Justice of the Peace; witnessed by Henrietta ANNIS and Phebee PUTNUM). Altough she was barely 16 at the time of her marriage (Lewis was 6 1/2 years older); their first chile wasn't born until exactly 4 years after the wedding. She died of "exhaustion" on 24 July 1923 in Greenville, Montcalm County. During the many moves that my husband and I have made during his years in the Air Force, the obituary that I once had for Margaret that listed her birth siblings has been packed in a box somewhere that we have yet to find. Someday . . . .
