    3. Hi, I am researching the name Fluhrer/Flory from the Negaunee. My Great Great Grandfather John M. Fluhrer/Flory was from Bavaria and settled in Negaunee between 1859 and 1860. The census shows the names Flora, Floray and then Flory. According to his daughter Barbara Kellan obit he worked for the Jackson Mine Company at one time and was the first man to haul iron ore between Negaunee and Marquette. Is there any books out there about early settlers in the Negaunee area that might list family names? Also is there any way of checking Jackson Mine records for his employment? Children are: Barbara born July 28, 1851 in Eagle Harbor, Mi, Caroline born Jan. 18, 1854 in Cleveland Ohio, John M born June 12, 1859 in Eagle Harbor, Mi, George born April 17, 1862 in Negaunee. In the 1870 census it shows John M. Floray as a saloon keeper. Is there anyway of knowing which saloon he was working at? Thank you, Marilyn
