Hi all, My name is Tracey and I'm a decendent of the Johnson family from Ishpeming. My father is Kenneth I. Johnson, my grandfather (his father) was Iver G. Johnson and my ggrandfather (his father) was Andrew G. Johnson (was a policeman - 3rd shift). My husband and I will be coming around the 5th or 6th of July and staying until the 12. Andrew G. was originally from Linkoping, Atvidaberg, Ostergotland, Sweden. We are going to be documenting the various parts of Ishpeming and Marquette. Homes where ancestors lived, places of employment, etc...Does the Marquette Society have a picnic or something similar every year? I remember reading something about it some time ago. Some other lines I have been researching in the Marquette County area are: Larson, Silas, and Holmgren. If anyone has any helpful suggestions, places to stay and see, please respond.
