My great grandfather Moise Baril (Mose Barry who was born Louis Augustin Moise Baril) lived in Powers, Spalding Twp., Menominee Co., MI in 1880 until his death in 1897. He married in 1880 to Laura ST.VINCENT/CHEMEREAU He had a brother, Napoleon BERRY (anglicized corruption of Baril spelling) who was a hotel keeper in Spalding. Mose (Moise Baril/Barry) also had two other brothers living in the U.P. and I am trying to find THEIR information! Supposedly they lived in Escanaba or Munising and one of them was an attorney. Anyone have any information? my new e-mail address is skilpatrick3@yahoo.com

    1. [MIMARQUE] 1904 Men of Michigan book on ebay
    2. Jamie
    3. FYI: This book is on ebay, seems quite rare. I am not affiliated with the seller, but you may can email them from the page to see if your family is in the book. If it wasn't so old I would not have sent this. Its a bit high for my pocket, but someone may be interested. I did a search for it and the cheapest I could find of this same book was 275.00-450.00, for a first edition, so it must be pretty rare. Especially with that many portraits of our ancestors throughout. The url is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1786628513 Jamie

    2. ... valentine53179
    3. Beginning tonight, Monday 10-14-2002 in the USA, on the History Channel there will be a three part series (on consecutive nights per my TV guide) (and then it seems it reruns on WEDNESDAY through out the day..... about 'THE SHIP' featuring the ENDEAVOR Capt Cook's Ship to Australia in the 18th century.... Sounds like a good show to watch and learn from.... LIVING HISTORY on a sea going vessel...on film...... Yes ~ the ship went to Australia... but it can't be SOOO terribly different than a ship going to North America or South America etc at the time.... I imagine this program will be a lot like: 1900's HOUSE FRONTIER HOUSE Anyway, wanted to give you all a heads up..... If you miss it.....check Wednesday's listings or your satellite guide for later showings.... valentine____________________ at valentine53179@hotmail.com . . . . .Get more from the Web.
