Supposedly, Mrs. House (She might have been Marguerite) was closely related to Orville and Wilbur Wright. My grandmother stayed in their home and was their housekeeper and watched their children. My grandmother, Edith (Beatty) McDonald, was born in 1889 and she was married in 1909 in Copemish, Cleon Twp., Manistee County, MI. Therefore, she would have worked for the House family the couple of years before her marriage. Since my grandmother was born in Claybanks, Oceana County, the HOUSE family might not have lived in Manistee County, but my late mother told me that they lived in Manistee.
