I am trying to find out any information on Michael CRANE who appears in the 1880 Michigan census in the city of Manistee on Harrison Street. Michael (age 40) and wife Margaret (age 38) were immigrants from Ireland, and they had 8 children listed: Cornelius (age 18) Mary Ann (age 16) Kate (age 14) Anna (age 12) Josephine (age 10) Lillie (age 8) Ella (age 6) Rosella (age 1) I have not been able to track this family any further forward--they don't appear in the 1900 Michigan, Illinois or Wisconsin censuses that I can find. I would imagine that most of the daughters would be married by 1900. This family has also been known to use the spellings CREAN and CRAINE. If anyone has access to Catholic marriages or deaths in Manistee after 1880 or any suggestions on tracing any of these family members, I'd greatly appreciate hearing from you.
