Ann Rafferty came to USA as a child and later wed to Wil Freeman, head sawyer for Starkey Lumber CO. & Mill.in Arcadia, (Starkeyville), Manistee County, MI. The other is they were wed in Ireland and then came to USA and lived in MI. He was English & She was Irish. A match only the WBA could enjoy. An Aunt says they did not talk or live together the last 2 years of her life. When she died Will buried her in the Lutheran Cemetery. His boss insisted all employess attend Church. Lutheran was the only one there in the 1860's. Dates of Birth are sketchy for him. Some say in NY others in England.Freeman is the toughest surname to search. There are so many. She definitely was born in Ireland and I like to think Six Mile Cross. I like to think she came as a child. Reason being there were others which match the names in her family. The age is right and there were siblings all over MI. If I am right, they came through St.Johns New Brunswick, Canada. If I am wrong then who knows? Phil Kuehn pkuehn@mich.com
