Jane (Jenny) Davis married John L. Stagg in Pentwater, Michigan, Hart, County 1871. John was a Civil War Vet. and I know they had family of four. They had four daughters. The first two died young. The last two Mable and Ethel were born and raised in Manestee. John was a policeman as their was an artical in the Manistee Daily News, dated 2/6/1895. I do not know any information on Jane Davis or her family. Her father, mother and siblings are all buried in Manistee somewhere and John and Jane's two daughters who died in 1872 and 1875(Grace and Maud Stagg) are buried in the same cemetery. That is all I know. Any information will be a great, great help. Would be wonderful to know the name of the cemetery where Maud & Grace Stagg, John Davis, & Mary Davis are buried.
