Surnames: Fauble, Hamilton Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JGB.2ACI/214.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Guy, Even ninety years later, Faubles from Bear Lake remember Bertha Hamilton and her visits to the north country. I have a copy of a picture that includes her, Chester, Margaret and Minnie with the rest of the Faubles, Wares and Coles taken at her brother John's farm in 1913. Also, a have a copy of a picture of her with her father Michael, and brothers Harry, John, and Howard. I descend from Harry's oldest son Arlie. When Michael Fauble died in 1920 the county records listed him as a widower. Bertha and John had to fight the War Department for Carrie, his widow, to receive his Civil War pension. In the process, they wrote some wonderful family history. I've collected information on some 250 Fauble families and descendants. I know that William and Bertha Hamilton had four children, Ivan, Chester, Margaret, and Minnie. Margaret married Jack Bollis, Minnie married Eric Arnold, and Chester married Sylvia ____. They had three children, Richard, Betty, and Arnold. I imagine one of the sons is your father. Maybe you could provide birthdates and places for me. I will send you this collection of Fauble history if you e-mail me at year63@hotmail.com or if you write me at: Duane A. Hunt 731 Packard, Apt 111 Ann Arbor MI 48104 or leave a message on the Fauble message board at ancestry.com.

    1. [[MIMANIST]] Re: [[MIMANIST]] VIRUS ALERT!
    2. Carol
    3. Disregard the warning in the original message -- it is probably a hoax warning. Here is what the Symantec site has to say about the SULFNBK.EXE Warning: "The following hoax email was first reported in Brazil. The original email is in Portuguese; it is followed by several other versions. CAUTIONS: This particular email message is a hoax. The file that is mentioned in the hoax, however, Sulfnbk.exe, is a Microsoft Windows utility that is used to restore long file names, and like any .exe file, it can be infected by a virus that targets .exe files. The virus/worm W32.Magistr.24876@mm can arrive as an attachment named Sulfnbk.exe. The Sulfnbk.exe file used by Windows is located in the C:\Windows\Command folder. If the file is located in any other folder, or arrives as an attachment to a email message, then it is possible that the file is infected. In this case, if a scan with the latest virus definitions and with NAV set to scan all files does not detect the file as being infected, quarantine and submit the file to SARC for analysis by following the instructions in the document How to submit a file to SARC using Scan and Deliver. If you have deleted the Sulfnbk.exe file from the C:\Windows\Command folder and want to know how to restore the file, see the How to restore the Sulfnbk.exe file section at the end of this document." To read more about it, see http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/sulfnbk.exe.warning.html Carol S. I used to go up there when I was little and pick sweetpeas for my mother. The place had the most wild sweetpeas I had ever seen. I don't know anything about the people though.

    2. Carol
    3. I've lost the name of the person who was researching MILLIRON family in Manistee County, so I hope he/she is on this forum. I found this in the Somebody's Links newsletter, vol.3, No.29 (8/30/01): o At an antiques shop in Leesburg, Virginia, I recently found four photos marked as coming from the Estate of Carolyn A. MILLIRON, from Rte 19 south of Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania. -- Two of the photos are high school portraits of young men from Waynesburg High School. They look to be from the 1920s. The cardboard envelope has the crest of the high school with Clarence F. LONG printed below. He may have been the photographer. -- Portrait of intense young man in wire-rimmed glasses from 1890-1910. -- Portrait of lovely young girl with serious pompadour bangs and a 1910 sailor-collared dress. -- Portrait of handsome young man in 1890s dress. He seems to have the same nose as the young woman listed above. If no MILLIRON descendants are interested, I will donate the photos to the Green County Historical Society.
