Here is the information that the record contained: Record # 2215 Date of License: Apr 28, 1898 Residence: Springdale (His) and Maple Grove (Hers) Birthplace: Ontario (his) and Indiana (hers) Occupation: Farmer (his) and Domestic (hers) Parents: James Burwell and Mary Coin (his) Richard Jones and Emeline Renfrew (hers) Date of Marriage: Apr 28, 1898 Place of Marriage: Manistee Official: J M Steffes?     3. Julie, Where were Frances and Andrew married? Is it possible that Andrew's last name was spelled Recek? Frances Rykala b. 1883, daughter of Joseph and Katherine Rykala, married Andrew Ryczak in 1901. Frances died in 1907. They had two daughters together: Mary and Catherine. JD

CROMER and they had a child named Ethel June CROMER born 1892. That's the only Etta that I know of tied to this family. His brother, William Harrison CROMER (1859-1937) married Elizabeth A. GROSVENOR (about 1857-after 1937) and they moved to Manistee, MI. They had children named Floyd, Grace, Elizabeth and Clyde all born about 1892-1890. The CROMERS were originally from Miami County, OH but moved, later, to Clinton TWP, Shelby County, OH and the GROSVENORS were from Shelby County, OH. Sorry, I could not give you more information....

I wrote to the Michigan Vital Stats and they had nothing on the birth of Louis and Matilda's son Joseph (I had hoped it would contain info on the birthplace of Louis). Would appreciate any information you might have. This would be a big breakthrough for me. Thanks so much.

If true they are the children of Francois Xavier Racette/Racet and Marie Agathe Beaudoin of L'Assomption Parish, L'Assomption Co., Quebec. My gr-grandfather Joseph Jr. and his sister Ursula were married in Manistee around 1869. I have traced the Rassette/Racette/Racet/Rasset line back to France. Send me an email and I will try to help.
