JONES and Susanah (WALLING) JONES before 1896. Does the Court House keep these records. Or are there articles in the newspapers about divorces back then. Susanah was married Sept. 21, 1896 to George Singleton.

All of his kids and their kids are dead, though. Dr. GROSVENOR's oldest boy was Walker H. GROSVENOR (1884-1948) and he had two sons, Richard Bailey GROSVENOR (1912-1969) and Robert Stone GROSVENOR (1918-2000). Robert married but never had any children. Richard, my wife's father, married Sara Louise BRANDEL (1911-) of Piqua in 1936 and they had a boy, Michael L (1939-1993) and Gail (1944-). Mike had two boys -- Alex and Richard GROSVENOR. We have two girls, Hollie Jane (1975) and Nancy Beth CLARKE (1982). Hollie graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1997, where he mother graduated, and Nancy is a junior at the Univeristy of Georgia. Sara and Richard and their family moved to Decatur, GA in 1951 from Piqua. He was President of Tykie Toys, Inc - products of which you will see often mentioned by toy collectors.

We have pictures of both William Harrison Cromer and Eliza A. Grosvenor with their children. Eliza is my GG Grandmother. I believe she died in 1937. I will see all of Bessie's and possibly most of Grace's grandchildren this weekend and I'll ask around for more specific info. My mother (Bessie's granddaughter) remembers visiting her Uncle Floyd's family in Dayton and having lots of fun with all her cousins.

If so, he is from the Floyd Francis CROMER line, the oldest son of William and Elizabeth Grosvenor CROMER. Grace and Elizabeth were Floyd's younger sisters. I do not verify this line but depend on the CROMER family for my information. I only go as far as Elizabeth A. GROSVENOR who married William Harrison CROMER in Shelby County, OH in 1880. They later moved to Manistee, Manistee, MI. I do have a picture of them, though. I do wish I had a DOD for Elizabeth A. GROSVENOR. I know she attended the funeral of Dr. GROSVENOR in 1932 but I do not have much else on her, afterwards.

William and Eliza's had 4 children: Floyd, Grace, Bessie and Clyde. Grace and Bessie each had only one child, both daughters. Grace married a man named (Brock) and had a daughter, Cordelia in 1905. Bessie married Charles Radenbusch Badman and had a daughter, Iris, in 1906. Both Grace's husband and Bessie died around 1914 and Charles Badman and Grace were married a few years later. Their children (Cordelia and Iris) first cousins now were sisters. They lived in Manistee and later moved to Grand Rapids so their daughters could look for work. Hope this helps. If you think there is a connection let me know.

In particular, I'm seeking the names of the parents of the bride and groom and -- if given -- the countries of birth of the bride, groom, and parents. Any takers? Thanks, Fred
