The following notice was sent to me from Rootsweb: "Starting at 8 a.m. PST Friday, February 23, RootsWeb will begin a planned temporary downtime for maintenance of its servers and hosting process. It will limit this downtime as much as possible, and will return with increased performance and reliability for future growth. In the meantime, please take time to visit RootsWeb.com's sister sites -- Ancestry.com and FamilyHistory.com -- where you will find additional tools such as message boards, communities, and databases to help you in the search for your ancestors. Thank you for your patience. --The RootsWeb Staff" I sent them a note, and they replied that the 'downtime' could be as long as 24 hours or more, so if you experience difficulty trying to access any of the Rootsweb pages this weekend, this is the answer. Hi, Its been quiet so I will remind everyone that I can do census lookups for the 1880 Manistee County Federal Census. I do not have an index so please no SMITH Family lookups. Also if you have an idea on township that would help. Also I am now announcing that I can do lookups for the 1900 Michigan Federal Census. Please do not ask me to do all smiths on this one. I will start posting reply's to the census lookups to the list if its okay with Nedra. I work full time and go to school full time so if you don't hear back from me in a few days after requesting a lookup feel free to email me again. I may be buried under a pile of books! Thanks Aleigh Researching Pierce, Borland, Dailey in Manistee County!!!
I am looking for information on the Rosenau, family. My Great Grandmother was Albertina Rosenau (Cilman) married to Emil Cilman. Also looking for information on the Brusky family which Albertina's mother was also my G-G Great Grandmother. Does any one have information on Minnie Sillman age 17, marriage liscense #691 married to Julius Lorsh age 25. both of Bear Lake Twp. Married around Dec of 1890. This item was found in a Newspaper clipping from the Manistee Advocate Dec 13, 1890. Wondering who her parents were, and most other information about her. My G-G Grandfather died (1875) in Paggots camp on the rollway. Does anyone have any information on this camp. And how far it ran on the River. Marilyn RIce maize22@aol.com
These messages to the Manistee list bounced, can anyone help Marilyn with these family lines? Please contact her directly, her E-mail address is at the bottom of the page. Thanks! <
