Cleveland OH Obits Website This was posted to another Michigan mail list, but I thought it was worth passing on in case anyone has family that left Manistee County for Cleveland - or came to Manistee County from Cleveland, Ohio. __________________________________________________________________ The Cleveland Necrology File, a collection of paid death notices from Cleveland newspapers and cemetery records, has been converted to digital format and mounted on Cleveland Public Library's website: http://www.cpl.org Consisting of 800,000+ death notices and covering the early 1800s through 1975, the Necrology File is searchable not only by the name of the deceased but also by keywords in the death notices. Users can search names of relatives, churches, synagogues, funeral homes, place names, and other relevant information in this online format. The original File was compiled over a period of years in the Library and consisted of the death notices clipped and pasted onto individual index cards. In the 1970's, the File was microfilmed to preserve the content of the death notices. The new digital format enables users to access this important information either in the Library or on personal computers. This resource will be of great value to those doing research on family or Greater Cleveland history.
Why are you apologizing? Gen Connect and Rootsweb are one in the same, and the wills you are posting are for Manistee Co. If I post a Will for anyother county they also send it to that Counties mail list. I think it's a good idea, never know who might show up in them. Keep posting your wills, Paula Chodacki buckskin@ees.eesc.com URL: http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/c/h/o/Paula-L-Chodacki/index.html ----- Original Message ----- From: <MIMANIST-D-request@rootsweb.com> To: <MIMANIST-D@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, April 04, 2001 8:00 PM Subject: MIMANIST-D Digest V01 #18
I didn't realize until too late that the GenConnect Wills board was sending copies of my posts to the MIMANIST mail list. I have disconnected the gateway, so no more of these items will fill your mailboxes. Thank you to those who brought it to my attention. My most sincere apologies, Nedra

To AOL 6.0 users only - Last night, I tried 4 times to send a message to the MIMANIST list, and each time it bounced back due to HTML or MIME encoding. I found out the problem was with AOL 6.0, which I had just downloaded. This does not apply to earlier versions of AOL - 3.0, 4.0, & 5.0. If you have had this problem, here is the solution: 1) Compose the message, including a quote from any previous list messages if needed. 2) When done, place your cursor in the TEXT area of the message. Right-click with your mouse, and hit SELECT ALL. 3) Right-click again, and at the top select TEXT>NORMAL 4) Hit SEND NOW button without disturbing the message or altering it in any way. What this does is clear, for that particular message, any HTML coding or MIME encryption from your message to be sent. There is no permanent fix for this problem, you will have do the Mouse trick each time you send a message to the mail list. Most mail lists do not allow HTML or MIME, and Rootsweb lists follow this lead. The purpose is this: Some people can't receive MIME or HTML messages, so the messages are never distributed to the list. Rootsweb also disallows "Attached Files", which is a good thing, it keeps us from passing around computer Viruses! Nedra
