I am looking for an uncle and cousin who lived in Sterling Twp. at 33981 Mound Road in the 1940's. My cousin (Walter) was killed in an automobile accident near the house. My uncle (Stanley) lived there with his 2nd wife (Helen). Does anyone have suggestions for me? I have already written to area churches to see if they had a record of Walter's death. I have also looked up the land records for the house, but Stanley must have rented since his name was not in the deed history. My next thought was to check with the police for a record of the accident. The house is in what is now Sterling Heights. Does anyone know if the old Sterling Twp. records would reside with Macomb County or Sterling Heights?
