HI all, Could someone please check to see if you have a CHARLES A. SPENCER listed in your data, or know of somewhere I may be able to obtain some information? CHARLES was born July 23, 1848 in Southfield Township, Oakland County, MI. He moved to Macomb County in the 1860s, where he was a painter by 1870. In 1870, Charles was living in Washington Township, Macomb county, with Daniel and Elsa Moore. Daniel was also a painter. According to the Michigan 1870 census, roll 688, page 144, line 32, Charles was age 21. It is my belief he married someone while in that area, and then remarried a girl from Ohio in August of 1873, named Jeanette Porter. Who Charles married the first time, how long he lived in Macomb county, or when and where he moved to, is what I'm searching for. Charles died 11-26-1914 in Detroit, Wayne Co., MI. He is buried in Oxford, Oakland Co., MI. If possible, would you check to see if you have anything on Charles? Thank You for any help you may be able to give me on him, he is my Great-grandfather.
