I am working on the genealogy of the Claggett family of Macomb County. Have lost the trail of the descendants of: John Robinson Bush (born 1881, died unknown) and Bessie (Claggett) Bush (born 1883, died unknown). His WWI draft registration shows he was living in Oakland Co in 1917. I found them in the census with four children but nothing else. Would appreciate any leads to any of their descendants. 1. Try getting the probate records for both John and Bessie (they are typically indexed by a series of years). Who are the legatees and what are their addresses? 2. The 1930 census shows they owned their property. Try getting the deed showing the sale of the property. May give a transfer to one or more of the children. 3. I see one of the children is male. I see a Stanley Bush, b. Aug 18, 1910 d. July 27, 2000, St. Clair Shores, Macomb MI. Try getting a Death Certificate and obituary for Stanley Bush to see if these are his parents. The DC will give burial location and name of informant (both links to familiy), the obituary may say survived by sister XX of City, State. I have found Ann Faulkner, who is on this list, to be very helpful. She is a volunteer at the library and does searches for a minimal fee (fees donated back to the library). Good luck.
