    3. This is what I was told back in 2003 about St. Peter and Paul's cemetery by a member at St. Mark's Lutheran in Roseville (formerly St. Peter and Paul's church). I had family who were members there for a long time. This happened in the 1950s I was told. Hope that helps. Tina Kacanowski The grave yard was ordered vacated by the city. The graves were moved by each family of the deceased. If there were no families, no one knows where or if they were moved. One account of the demise is, " The old broken stones and what was left of the graves, mostly much of nothing, on grave of a relative was pretty much gone to ashes, were pushed by a bulldozer and covered over." If you would walk to the center between Martin and Meyer, as I did, you would find a raised part of the park about half way in the middle. I believe that is where they covered the remains. I only wished that they would have placed a marker there. Some one said some of the families moved some of their graves to a Lutheran cemetery somewhere in Detroit. ? ----- Original Message ----- From: <gschluck@comcast.net> To: <MIMACOMB-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 16, 2006 6:46 PM Subject: [MiMacomb] St Peter and Pauls Cemetery > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Hamann, Mahs > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/IGB.2ACI/597 > > Message Board Post: > > looking for anyone who might have information on this cemetery.
