Hi Everyone, I'm looking for any information at all (I have the 1860, 1870, and 1880 census records) on the following people: Marvin Scott was a school teacher who married Loretta Crawford on the 17 April 186, possibly in Washington Township, Macomb Co. It is thought that he was the Principal of Romeo High School at some point. Loretta Crawford was on the 1860 census of Washington Township, Macomb Co. She was age 24 and a teacher. When she married Marvin J. Scott in 1861 she was "of Byron". I'm wondering if that is where her family lived? Loretta died 31 January 1866 and Marvin J. Scott remarried 26 March 1867. His second wife was Mary E. Telling. My goal is to determine who Marvin J. Scott's parents were. He was born in 1832 in LeRoy, Genesee Co. to _______ and Rhoda Scott. He was in LeRoy, Genesee, NY in 1850 and in Waterford, Oakland, MI in 1860. Any ideas or suggestions? Jenny B.
