Mt Clemens Monitor Oct 24 1913 Devoted Mother Works Coup. Jennie Belle Alband, Viola Alband, and Florence Alband, aged ten, five, and eight years, precious children of Mrs. Frank C. Peltier, were adjudicated by Judge Reid Monday as needing the care of the state school at Coldwater. They were remanded to the custody of Mrs. R.J. Crawford for conveyance to the school. Tuesday these darling children were missing. It developed that they had been taken to Canada, where they now are and will remain, unless deported. Officials declare that if the whole family can be induced to immigrated, they will be satisfied. Judge Reid had Arthur Alband in court yesterday and gave him a judicial scolding that he ought to remember. He told him that he was adjudicated a ward of the court until he became of age, and that if he didn't behave himself, there would be something doing. The two other boys will also be wards of the court, and all three, for the present, will be left at home.
