August, laborer, July 1882, 17, Germany, immigrated in 1884, farm laborer There's a draft card for an Ernest Conrad Schneider living in Detroit, born March 16 1881. He's in the social security death index, died in March 1963. I'd try getting his SS-5, it would probably have his mother's maiden name. I also saw Edward's WWI draft card, confirms his birthdate but nothing new. Have you looked at the obituary index the Mount Clemens library has online? There's a George Schneider in 1910 that's a possibility, and a Christine Schneider, maiden name Vierk, who died in 1956 at age 68. That's definitely yours.
