The initial meeting of the Oakland County Genealogical Society's 2006-07 season will take place Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 5500 North Adams (between Long Lake and Square Lake Roads) Troy, Michigan. Chancey Miller, President of the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research and Director at Elmwood Cemetery will talk about the history, people and local genealogies associated with this landmark Michigan cemetery. The meeting begins at 7: p.m. The Church has a flat entrance and ample lighted parking. Meetings are open to the public and free of charge, everyone is welcome.
