WARD? George WARD married abt 1885 in Trempleau co, WIS, Delilah (Lila) COOPER, dau. of John COOPER & Mary E. ADAMS from Hardin Co, OH. George & Delilah WARD lived in Osseo, Trempleau co, WIS. George's father, Mahlon (aka Mayland) James WARD was b. 1837/38 in < Hancock Co> OH, his gr-father William WARD was b in England, his gr-mother b OH. Mahlon J. WARD and wife, Francis (Fanny) Emily ROBERTS moved after Jul 1861 from Hancock co, OH to Ft. Wayne, Allen co, IND where their son, Zophar (Zapher) John WARD was born 11 July 1862. Soon they had left Indiana & were living in Michigan when their 2nd son, George WARD was born abt 1864/65. I think they must have lived in southern Mich from about 1863 to about 1867/68. For they were living in PA when their 3rd son, Anthony WARD was born in 1868. I don't know how long the family lived in PA but by 1872 they had moved to Wisconsin where they 4 more children: son, Orrin (aka Ora/Orion) WARD was born 15 Feb 1872; Daniel WARD b abt 1874; dau. Emily Anne WARD was b 29 May 1875 in Eau Claire, Eau Claire co, WIS and Chauncey WARD was b 1879/1880. The family is on the 1880 Albion, Trempealeau Co, WIS census with all of these! children . Abt 1887 the fam. moved to Springfield, Greene co, Missouri and by 1900 they were in Brookings co, SD. Please contact Mary K.
