I know St. Clair Shores was a village proper and the part I lived in as a child was Erin Township, now part of the City of St. Clair Shores. Interesting to know that East Detroit was also. I lived 1/2 block from the Erin High School, which became Chippewa Junior High when Lakeview High School was built, and is now a nursing home (corner of Lakeland & Jefferson).
