Hi all, I know from published books and land records that Gabriel Case bought land in Lenox township ca. 1837. His land adjoined Sterling and William Case's land. Several other Case's bought land in Lenox township but it was not adjoining to these three Case's. I believe that Gabriel Case is the father of Clarissa, Mary, Laura Ann and perhaps Alonzo Case. Sterling was the father of Julia Ann Case. I have found Alonzo (who was listed on census as "idiot") living at various times living with both Mary and Laura Ann Case and their husbands. Clarissa Case married Benjamin Hocknell/Hacknell/Hackwell-his name is actually Hocknell but these are the various spellings that I have found him listed under. I have also come across an Emanuel Case m. a Cloey Barton in 1841, who may be a son of Gabriel Case as he is not listed in genealogies of Sterling Case nor is a Richard Case m. Caroline Clark 1838. These last two married in the same time frame that I know the elder Case's were in Maco! mb county which leads me to believe that they also may be children of Gabriel Case. Are there any Case researchers on this list who may be able to help me out and perhaps clarify any information on the above names? Thank you Sheryle Davis Tennessee [email protected]
