    1. Re: [MiMacomb] Help with marriages!
    2. Laura Nixon
    3. Rhonda In order to help with your request, a little more information is needed. I stop into the Mt. Clemens library periodically and might be able to help you. The library has some records for marriages in Macomb County. Other information necessary would include where were they married, i.e. city or township, are you able to pin point the dates more accurately, did they belong to a church, etc. The local catholic church, St. Peter's, has really good records, but without better information it is like looking for a needle in a haystack to search the whole county and year. 1. [MiMacomb] Great Photo Copies
    2. Hi Everyone, This isn't exactly Macomb County related, but you may find it useful. You may have noticed the Kodak picture machines around town that let you scan in a photo or use a 'Pictures on disk' CD to print out glossy photos in several sizes and formats. Well, today I called a Kodak technician and found out how to print out scans you made at home or got over the net from friends, without having to use a Kodak created CD. This came in very handy for me as I recently received a scan from a cousin of my great grandfather and now have a stack of beautiful copies to take to a reunion next weekend. OK, here is how to do it. On either a CDR or a 3.5 inch floppy, create a directory called Pictures The first letter must be capitalized. After that, the scan must be saved as a .JPG file and the name can have no more than 8 characters. For example, bobsface.jpg will work, but bob_face.jpg won't. That's it. Now just put the disk in the machine and follow the prompts. 2. Ann Faulkner
    3. Mt Clemens Monitor, Mar 5, 1917 Harvey Aldrich, mail carrier, will spend his vacation in the Washington hospital. Mr. Aldrich was thrown from a load of hay on Macomb street Wednesday, and picked up with a broken leg. Mr. Aldrich finds a certain comfort in the thought that the leg broken is the member deformed by rheumatism some years ago, and it may come out straighter and longer. Mt Clemens Daily Monitor, Oct 14 1940. Harvey A Aldrich, widely known retired rural mail carrier, died at his home, 16 Hubbard avenue, at 2:10 a.m. today of a heart attach following a year's illness. Since his retirement from the postal service six years ago, Mr. Aldrich as been associated with Wildt & Warner in the real estate business .... he made a host of friends. He was born in Armada, the son of James and Medora Aldrich. His father was a pioneer having been born in Ray Township. Mr. Aldrich frequently attended the First Presbyterian church and was a faithful member of the Mail Carriers association. Besides his wife, the former Katherine A Langley, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ivan W. File of Mount Clemens, and Mrs. Harold F. Reinhardt of St. Clair Shores; one son James L. a student at the University of Michigan, and one brother, Peter J. of Perry, Michigan. Services Wednesday from the Hubbard Funeral Chapel with the Rev.
