Surnames: Julia TROMBLEY's ancestry Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/IGB.2ACI/6.1 Message Board Post: Have you been able to trace the line of your grandmother Julia TROMBLEY? I gather she is the Julia TROMBLEY, b 8 Dec 1870 in Erin Twp, Macomb Co, d/o Joseph TROMBLEY and Basilique TROMBLEY. If this is correct, I am descended from Joseph's younger brother Paul who md Marguerite LAFOREST. The parents of Joseph and Paul, Louis Guillaume6 TREMBLAY-TROMBLEY and Victoria ROBERTJEANNE were married at St Paul's 08-Feb-1836. St Paul's is in Wayne Co. These records are available on microfilm from the LDS Library Branches. Both of Joseph's parents were buried from St Paul's in 1858 and 1859. As you probably know Joseph died in Pinconning, Bay Co MI 28-Oct-1913. I have little other data on Joseph's line, but I do have his ancestry back to Pierre1 TREMBLAY bc 1626.

East Detroit {Eastpointe}, St. Clair Shores, and Roseville where all part of Erin Township. Roseville being the last City. I grew up in East Detroit. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IGB.2ACI/18.56.1.1 Message Board Post: Robert - Since townships are originally 36 square miles and since St. Clair Shores & East Detroit abut each other, they were probably both in Erin Township, along with other communites. I know St. Clair Shores was a village proper and the part I lived in as a child was Erin Township, now part of the City of St. Clair Shores. Interesting to know that East Detroit was also. Best regards from a former eastsider, Mj P.S. I lived 1/2 block from the Erin High School, which became Chippewa Junior High when Lakeview High School was built, and is now a nursing home (corner of Lakeland & Jefferson).

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/IGB.2ACI/136.1 Message Board Post: Vickie: I have just received the index page from the 1845 State census for St Clair. It list only the heads of households and males over twenty one. It list George (Alexanders brother) Jefferson (Alexanders brother) Melissa (Jeffersons wife ??? why listed as head of household??) William W. (Alexanders father) This would place William moving the family and some adult children to Michigan sometime late 1844 to early 1845 based on this info and other birth place info. You can find a copy of the complete census at State of Michigan Archives 717 West Allegan St. Lansing, MI 48918 517-373-1408 Have you found the 1860 for St Clair yet? I'm quite sure that Alexander had already moved to Edenville by that time. I still owe you info on the lumberjack camps. Marc
